📍Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Non-game-viewing travel time: 2.30 hours – Distance: 152.7 km

You will meet our professional driver-guide at your hotel, who will provide a brief safari orientation. After breakfast, we will drive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is primarily composed of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation consists mainly of acacia woodlands and iconic giant African baobab trees, with expansive swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps serve as magnets for wildlife during Tanzania’s dry season. Tarangire National Park is renowned for hosting some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. It is also home to three rare species: the greater kudu, the fringed-eared oryx, and a few ashy starlings. You will enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations at your choice of lodge, tented camp, hotel, basic camp, or luxury facility.

📍Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Lake Manyara National Park

Non-game-viewing travel time: 1 hour – Distance: 45 km

Our day begins bright and early with an energizing breakfast to prepare for an unforgettable adventure. Once ready, we will board our comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle and descend approximately 2,000 feet to the floor of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. This natural wonder, often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden”, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a wildlife enthusiast’s paradise.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, spanning roughly 20 kilometers (12 miles) in diameter. Its lush landscapes include rich pastures, freshwater swamps, dense forests, and permanent water sources—all of which create an ideal habitat for a remarkable variety of wildlife. The crater is home to an estimated 25,000 large animals, offering unparalleled game-viewing opportunities.

As we explore this wildlife haven, you’ll be captivated by the sheer abundance of species. Look out for the critically endangered black rhino, often seen grazing in the open grasslands, and the elusive black-maned lions that roam the area. The crater is also a sanctuary for herds of wildebeest, zebras, and buffalos, as well as towering elephants and agile cheetahs. With luck, we may even spot some of the rare hyenas or leopards that reside here. The crater’s permanent water sources also attract a wide variety of birds, including flamingos, which dot the alkaline lake with a blush of pink.

We will take our time exploring this breathtaking ecosystem, enjoying close encounters with wildlife and the dramatic scenery that surrounds us. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to capture incredible photographs and immerse yourself in the magic of Ngorongoro’s pristine wilderness. In the late afternoon, after a truly memorable day, we will ascend the crater walls and return to your chosen accommodation. 📍Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Tour – Arusha

Non-game-viewing travel time: 2 hours
Distance: 130.7 km

After your breakfast, and then we drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This impressive National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The Park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of Elephants; Manyara is famous for a Tree-climbing lion, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Late afternoon we return to Arusha town and you will be dropped at your Lodge/Hotel. End of tour.
