Terms and Conditions

Northern Circuit Adventure Tanzania

Price Information: All prices are based on the prevailing rates at the time of publication and may change without prior notice. However, once a holiday has been fully paid for, we guarantee the price unless it is subsequently affected by government action or other factors beyond the control of Northern Circuit Adventure. In such cases, clients will be informed as soon as possible.

Reservations During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have adjusted our deposit requirements:

  • For budget camping safaris & mountain climbing, a 10% deposit is required.
  • For luxury/tented/lodge safaris, a 15% deposit is required. Full payment is due 14 days before departure.
We also offer a free-of-charge postponement of your trip up to 1 year after the original travel dates with no extra charges.

Please note that, despite prior confirmations, the tour may not be executed if payments have not been received in accordance with the above terms.

While quarantine has been lifted in Tanzania, the government requires all arriving passengers to have a negative COVID-19 certificate. Temperature checks will be conducted upon arrival. We strongly recommend that you bring a mask, gloves, and hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol content.

Cancellations: In the event of a cancellation, please notify us in writing. Deposits may be refunded minus the processing fees for reservations, cancellation charges imposed by hotels/campsites/lodges, special camp fees, transporters, and any other relevant expenses.

  • If cancellation is received 25-30 days before the tour’s commencement, a cancellation fee of 75% of the total land arrangements will be charged.
  • If cancellation is made 7-10 days before the tour, a 100% charge will apply.

We recommend purchasing full-trip cancellation insurance.

Rates: Rates include all costs related to the vehicle and driver/guide for the itinerary as outlined, full board accommodation (hotel meals while on safari), all government taxes, hotel service charges, game drives, and entry fees unless otherwise specified in the price list.

Not included are any departure taxes, visas, gratuities (other than service charges), beverages, laundry, or other personal expenses. Rates are based on standard rooms or tents unless specified. Single or triple rooms are not guaranteed. Special room types may carry additional charges.

Accommodation: Where possible, we book rooms with private baths, based on double occupancy. Single rooms or rooms with private baths cannot be guaranteed.

Transportation: A safari four-wheel drive vehicle will be provided based on the route and number of participants. We reserve the right to employ subcontractors for certain services. English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian-speaking driver/guides are available.

Alterations to Tours: We reserve the right to change any route or arrangement if necessary, or to substitute with options of equal value. Additionally, we may cancel the operation of any scheduled tour. We also reserve the right to decline or retain any person as a member of the tour at any time, with an appropriate refund issued.

Rerouting Safaris: Rerouting is rare, typically due to room or special campsite availability. If a reroute is necessary, clients will be informed as far in advance as possible. Northern Circuit Adventure and its agents act solely as intermediaries for accommodation, meals, tours, and transportation, and are not responsible for any inconvenience, delays, losses, or damages caused by factors beyond our control, such as weather, machinery breakdowns, labor disputes, civil disturbances, or government orders.

Northern Circuit Adventure (T) Ltd is insured for legal liabilities arising from injuries incurred by passengers in our vehicles, subject to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian, Kenyan, Ugandan, and Ethiopian courts.

Danger: The risk from wild animals on safari is minimal, as most animals avoid human contact unless provoked. We advise you to follow your guide’s instructions for your safety. Interestingly, the most dangerous animal you may encounter in Tanzania is the mosquito!

Cuisine: A variety of international cuisine is available at hotels, restaurants, and lodges. On the coast, you’ll find fresh fish, lobsters, and local dishes like biryanis and curries. Specialties include spiced tea, coffee, and Halua, a sweet dessert made with almonds. We recommend drinking only boiled or bottled water.

Northern Circuit Adventure Insurance Recommendation: We strongly recommend that you secure comprehensive personal insurance to cover any eventualities during your trip.
